He might have just a bit more upside and nastiness than Texas A Luke Joeckel. If the Chiefs keep franchise tagged OT Branden Albert, they’ll enter the season with a solid set of bookends. If Albert is dealt, Donald Stephenson could step into the lineup unless Kansas City pursues a free agent such as Tyson Clabo.

And with five of the top 82 selections at the start of the night, Dolphins GM Jeff Ireland had the ammo to move up and gave McKenzie the cheap evening dresses 12th and 42nd choices in return. Miami spurns the opportunity to replace departed Jake Long to take Jordan, a rangy pass rusher who used to play tight end. He could stand to add a little weight, but he should be able to focus his talents as a pass rush specialist out of the chute much as Aldon Smith did for the 49ers in 2011 behind starting defensive ends Jared Odrick and Cameron Wake, who will be happy to see fewer double teams with Jordan on the opposite flank.
4 (4) Eagles: Lane Johnson, OT, Oklahoma
Analysis: A converted tight end and quarterback, Johnson has rare athleticism for his position and might wind up as the best tackle of this draft in a few years. He should fit seamlessly into new coach Chip Kelly’s high velocity offense, which demands great movement skills from its linemen. In Johnson and Jason Peters, the Eagles probably have the most mobile tackle tandem in the NFL, provided Peters’ Achilles’ is fully healed. 5 (5) Lions: Ziggy Ansah, DE, BYU

But he enters a situation where he shouldn’t see very many double teams if Lions DTs Ndamukong Suh and Nick Fairley continue to crush pockets from the inside. 6 (6) Browns: Barkevious Mingo, DE, LSU
Analysis: The Browns opt to take a pass rusher rather than upgrade their secondary. Mingo also needs to bulk up, and AFC North teams surely will run at him at every opportunity in 2013. But he’ll also put some stress on Joe Flacco, Ben Roethlisberger and Andy Dalton, and he gives Cleveland a nice young duo of edge players along with free agent addition Paul Kruger. If the Browns can keep the heat on opposing quarterbacks, their shortcomings in coverage won’t be as glaring. However, Mingo had better pan out since the franchise’s new regime opted for him rather than a deal that might have recouped the second round pick lost when WR Josh Gordon arrived via last year’s supplemental draft.

The dynamic playmaker weighs 175 pounds but typifies a new NFL that puts a premium on speed, versatility and the ability to play in space. Austin should immediately fill the shoes of departed Danny Amendola and serve as QB Sam Bradford’s top target. Austin can work out of the slot, backfield or in the return game. He should be a terror at the Edward Jones Dome. The 49ers and Seahawks won’t be the only tough outs in the NFC West.

That was all we had here," recalled John Kobal, who helped Stampede promote Lethbridge and refereed as well. "She was a good worker, but working with Rhonda was a handicap for her because she’s not that big compared to Rhonda. She would work her buns off to give you an honest job. I was always impressed with her work ethic. She was very, very professional and very, very good at what she did."After Stampede Wrestling folded, Houston, like the rest of the workers in the territory, had to find work where she could. "You book some promotion, the promoter pulls you in, ’Oh yeah, we’ve got this girl for you to work with.’ It’s an ex peeler who just wants to be around the guys, and some guy trained her and she can only do a couple of moves."The women on the Western Canadian scene were few and far between."I remember hearing about this tough chick from Calgary," Miss Kitty Karson said. "I was very interested and intrigued to see who this was, and see what I can do with her."Miss Kitty still can picture her opponent across the ring that night. "Her evil eyes glared right through you, and I was like, ’Oh shit, what am I up for now?’ But then again, I said, ’Okay, I can handle this chick, no problem.’ I wanted to show her what a Winnipeg woman had as opposed to a Calgary woman. We stepped into the ring and had an awesome match. She is very good to work with. She’s a tough competitor, and shows no mercy on her opponents."No mercy was definitely a trait that KC learned and improved upon following bouts with Rhonda Sing. "Not a lot of girls would work with Rhonda. Desiree won’t," Houston said. "She’s very stiff . I got used to it, then that’s how I ended up working."Desiree Peterson was another thing.
